UNIPOL TOWER IS LEED PLATINUM
Milan, February 27, 2025 NEWS
Unipol Tower has officially obtained the LEED Platinum energy certification, the highest level issued by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). LEED® is a certification program that concerns the entire life cycle of the building itself, from design to construction, recognizing the performance of buildings in key sectors, such as energy and water saving, the reduction of CO2 emissions, the improvement of the ecological quality of the interiors, the materials and resources used, the project and the choice of the site. The system is based on the attribution of "credits" for each requirement, the sum of which constitutes the 4 certification levels: basic, gold, silver, platinum.
The certification, issued on 27 February, represents an ambitious goal, which required eco-sustainable design and construction solutions to benefit the environment and the well-being of those who work and live in the Unipol Tower on a daily basis. After the Tower of Via Larga in Bologna, certified LEED Gold in 2012, Urban Up | Unipol once again confirms its commitment to environmental and social sustainability, fundamental values for the Group's identity.
