San Federico Gallery: renovation completed
Turin, December 1, 2015 NEWS
San Federico Gallery has reclaimed its role in the heart of Turin thanks to the important renovation carried out by Unipol through its Urban Up real estate redevelopment program that is being carried out in major Italian cities, making the Unipol Group one of the major players in the recovery of buildings and urban areas in Italy.
After a period of neglect followed by less than three years of work, San Federico Gallery has finally been returned to the city thanks to significant conservation and restoration works that involved both the commercial and office spaces.
The sale of the spaces was organized to populate the "San Federico block" with luxury and high tech brands. The Via Roma side is home to Gucci, Ferragamo, Mont Blanc, and an Apple Store, while the Piazza San Carlo side hosts Hermes, De Wan, and Aspesi.
The inside of the Gallery houses various consumer and leisure brands with various shops, including the historical operators of the Gallery that have been preserved, a new clothing store covering 1,000 square meters that is soon to be opened, and a new, innovative concept targeting the general public: "Fiorfood", about 1,300 square meters over two floors offering high quality food products, a bookshop, an award winning restaurant, and a large space for events.
"We have relaunched the San Federico block, an important piece of Turin's historic center city," notes Massimiliano Morrone, Head of Asset & Investment Management RE and SGR Immobiliare of the Unipol Group, "with a renovation that has returned to the city of Turin a building that for years was one of its symbols, and today offers something for everyone, from leisure time to quality food, convenience stores, and high-end shopping."
