REGENERATING WITHOUT DEMOLISHING: THE CASE OF TUCIDIDE 14 AT PROGETTI D’ITALIA

The largest sustainable regeneration project by Urban Up

Milan, May 21 2026 EVENT

The twelfth edition of Progetti d'Italia 2026 took place on May 21 at Fieramilano Rho. Organized by Il Quotidiano Immobiliare, it is the most important networking and business event for the entire Italian real estate community.

Throughout the day, presentations of the major real estate initiatives underway or to be developed in the near future in Italy took place in the grand Auditorium of the Rho Fair. Investors, developers, builders, and architects presented the projects, creating a unique meeting opportunity for the entire real estate supply chain.

Silvia Tomaselli, Head of Real Estate Project Development for the Group, spoke on behalf of Urban Up | Unipol. She presented Tucidide 14, a major regeneration project, partly already completed. The project involves the full conversion and change of use of 5 of the complex's 7 towers from office to hospitality/residential, the redevelopment of the remaining 2 towers for office use, and the repurposing of the building previously used as a canteen.

As Tomaselli explained, the project was driven by Urban Up | Unipol's desire to add value to existing structures without resorting to demolition or adding new volumes. This approach ensured significant CO2 savings and a high-quality result. Special attention was paid to quality and cost efficiency to meet Milan's housing demand through an offering aimed at families and young people within a medium price range. Tucidide 14 stands today as the largest sustainable urban regeneration project currently underway.
