Torre Velasca at MDW16

The first time the Milanese Tower was the star of the Milan design week

Milan, April 11, 2016 EVENT PRESS RELEASE

Torre Velasca returned to the spotlight in Milan on the international stage during the Milan Design Week to present itself as the new venue for high profile events. The Salone del Mobile 2016 was the perfect occasion for Torre Velasca to share its rebirth with the general public and show itself in all its finery by “wearing” an incredible fire-red evening dress. Its façade was lit up with installations created for Audi by the lighting designer Ingo Maurer: a new way to see the Tower that has always been an unmistakable feature on the Milanese skyline, but never in such a spectacular way.

Torre Velasca the place to see, but above all the place to be, especially inside: in the historic setting that was revamped by the designer Piero Lissoni, some of the most exclusive FuoriSalone fringe circuit events were hosted.

Audi developed the theme of Untaggable future with some of the most popular celebrities on the contemporary scene including Carlo Freccero, Eleonora Abbagnato, Piergiorgio Oddifreddi and Stefano Boeri.

Oikos invited the stars of Italian and international architecture and design to talk about innovation and the future in the penthouse suite on the 25th floor that was completely renovated by the designer Giulio Cappellini.

From the 11 to 17 April it was also possible to take a look at two of the apartments in Torre Velasca that are part of the Luxury Temporary Apartments service provided by Domux Home, that turns trips for business or pleasure into an occasion to see and experience the Italian design and fashion capital from a privileged position.
