Inauguration of the lighting project

Thursday 10 December 2015 the Unipol Group initiated the Velasca Tower lighting project by inviting authorities and citizens to an evening at the Tower where they witnessed a thrilling display of lights and colour where a series of fading images were projected onto a sequence of scenic sails telling the story of the Tower and the important symbolic role it plays in the culture and architecture of Milan. The project promoted and financed entirely by UnipolSai, is divided over a period of five months (December 2015-April 2016) with two different sections: a light installation on the central façade of the Tower and the adjacent square, and a multimedia installation inside the exhibition space featuring a fascinating and evocative look back over the history of the Tower.
